Public Transport in Augsburg

During your stay in Augsburg, you can easily use the tram line 3 to travel between unviersity and the city center.
If you start at Königsplatz (our central station for trams) and want to travel to university, a single ticket costs 4 €, so a trip back and forth costs 8 €:

Alternatively, you can use a day ticket to travel as much as you like the entire day. If you stay in the zones 10 and 20, such a ticket costs 9.70 €.
This offer is useful if you want to discover the city by tram, or if two or more people share a ticket.
For each additional person, the cost for the day ticket increases by 3.40 €, so two people sharing a day ticket would pay only 13.10 €, or 6.55 € each.

Hotels in Augsburg

We do not recommend any specific hotels in Augsburg. However, for your convenience, we advise you to avoid taking a hotel in the north of Augsburg, as the travel time could be too high.
From the city center (Königsplatz), you can travel to the university within 15 - 20 minutes, using public transport.
Thus, we recommend visiting a hotel located somewhere between Königsplatz and the university, or a hotel that is moderately close to a stop of the tram line 3.

To reach the workshop room after you exit the tram at the stop "Universität", head south and follow the pedestrian path until you encounter a big crossing.
At the crossing, head right and walk until you arrive at the sculpture of a red trojan horse.

Look into the direction the horse is looking and enter through the door you see on the ground level.
