Algorithms and Tools for Petri nets (AWPN)

AWPN 2024
After a long break due to the pandemic, we were thrilled to meet again in October 2024 in Copenhagen! We want to thank everyone for making the workshop at DTU such a success. The event was filled with interesting discussions and inspiring new ideas. Your presentations even managed to attract some attendees from the ICPM conference, who decided to join us spontaneously.

During the workshop, we had some exciting news to share with you: The launch of the new website, new additions to the steering committee, and the fact that we were able to publish your extended abstracts for the workshop to the digital library of the German Foundation of Informatics (GI). This way, you can easily reference your work using a digital object identifier (DOI). You can find the workshop proceedings at the following link:
To further show our gratitude to you submitting an extended abstract, every presenter of an AWPN-paper received a small gift: A cup with the new AWPN logo on one side and the title of the paper on the other side. Perfect to subtly show off your research to your colleagues while enjoying your morning, afternoon, or evening coffee!
Other news, regarding the special interest group, involved that the membership is now completely free of charge! If you are not yet a member of the special interest group for Petri nets, you can find a tutorial on how to apply for a membership here:

We warmly welcome all new members to the special interest group and look forward to you joining the next AWPN workshop! To keep the ball rolling, we take this opportunity to announce where we will meet next to discuss all things regarding Petri nets:

We will meet again on Thursday and Friday, the 18th and 19th of September 2025 in Augsburg, Germany! The workshop will take place at the University of Augsburg. We are already thrilled to see how your ideas evolved and what new insights or proposals you have. AWPN 2025 will keep the open and friendly discussions of this year's iteration, so we again encourage everyone to also submit extended abstracts that show their work-in-progress. Of course, we will send you a more detailed call-for-paper when the workshop approaches.
See you next year!
