German version and Registration
We received 11 papers about your current research endeavours for the AWPN workshop. That's an amazing amount! Thanks to you, the workshop is filled with interesting talks and discussions, so getting bored is almost impossible! :-) Of course, we want you to know where and when we will meet at the 18th of October to talk about our research. That's what this page is for: We will collect all information relevant for participating the AWPN workshop here.
The AWPN workshop will take place at DTU's Lyngby Campus, in building 116. The exact address is:
Technical University of Denmark (DTU)
Bygningstorvet,
2800 Kongens Lyngby,
Denmark
Lyngby Campus is located in the north of Copenhagen and is best reached by bus. If you're starting from the city centre, take bus 150S and get off at the stop Rævehøjvej, DTU. If you want to leave from a bus stop from which this bus line doesn't depart, you can easily find out which bus to take by visiting the website https://www.rejseplanen.dk/webapp/?language=en.
The AWPN workshop will take place in Auditorium 82. On the right-hand side of this text you will find a small map showing you where this room is located. For the coffee breaks and lunch, the organziers of the ICPM conference will set up tables in the corridor in front of the Auditorium. In the picture on the right, you can also see where you can register and get your name badge before the workshop starts.
Some of us already know how to reach DTU's Lyngby Campus, because we will also participate at the ICPM conference. We therefore offer everyone interested to meet at 7.30 am at the bus station Nørreport Station, so we can travel to the campus together. The ride will take more or less 30 minutes, so at the campus we will have plenty of time to get to know the place and to find some morning coffee. ;-)
Between 8.00 am and 9.00 am you can register at the registration desk and receive your name badge. The workshop will then start at 9.00 am in Auditorium 82: We will begin with a short opening session in which we will officially welcome you and start the workshop.
You can find the exact program of the workshop in the picture on the left. We have a total of four sessions, each with 2 - 3 presentations. There will be coffee breaks from 10.30 to 11.00 and from 15.00 to 15.30. Between 12.30 and 13.30, there will be a small lunch to replenish our energy.
Because we've received so many amazing submissions from you, we won't be able to fit in a big group discussion. However, feel free to organize your presentation in a way that leaves plenty of time for questions and discussions, if you want! We have planned 30 minutes for each presentation: approx. 20 minutes for the presentation itself, 5 minutes for questions and 5 minutes as a buffer. However, this schedule is not set into stone. If you prefer to speak for only 15 minutes and invite us to discuss for 10 minutes, that's no problem!
At 17.00 we will conclude the workshop with a closing session and a small meeting of the Fachgruppe, in which we have some news to announce -- so stay tuned! :-) At the end of the day, the organizers of the ICPM conference offered us the opportunity to invite all PhD students of the AWPN to the exclusive PhD party! The party will start at 18.30 in the S-HUSET, in building 101 of the DTU. You can find more information about the location at https://www.pf.dk/en/s-huset. Many other PhD students who are particularly interested in the applications of Petri nets will await you there.
You are probably curious to what the other participant's papers look like and want to have a look at their papers before the workshop starts. In this regard, we have amazing news: The GI allowed us to publish the AWPN papers in their digital library at https://dl.gi.de/home. This way, your papers are acessible through the net and get a digital object identifier (DOI), allowing you to reference your paper!
Update of October 17th 2024:
The proceedings are now online!
You can find them here: https://dl.gi.de/handle/20.500.12116/45009
This year, we are requesting contributions in the form of extended abstracts, describing ideas for current research projects or tools. The submissions will be divided into sessions, and each contribution will be presented in a 20-minute slot. Following the sessions, we will form working groups to discuss the presented topics and foster collaborations.
We welcome all contributions concerning tools, applications, and theory in the field of Petri nets and related formalisms. Possible topic areas for our sessions include, but are not limited to:
- Petri Nets and Software Engineering
- Petri Nets and Business Process Modeling
- Petri Nets and Process Mining
- Petri Nets and Model Checking
- Petri Nets in Education
Please submit your extended abstracts in English or German as PDF files in LNCS style to robert.lorenz@informatik.uni-augsburg.de by August 23, 2024. This year, the page limit is 2 pages, excluding references. Contributions will not undergo a detailed review process but will be assessed by the program committee for relevance to the AWPN. To emphasize the workshop's character, there will be no proceedings this year; accepted contributions will be invited for presentation at the AWPN until September 2, 2024.
